What’s the role about?

As part of our Childrenswear Production department, you’ll be joining as our Junior Product Developer - Boyswear who will be responsible for supporting all creative and commercial strategies across the department, focusing on all aspects of product design and development.

Who you are

  • You’ll have previous experience in a similar role
  • Have experience of the product lifecycle; from sketch to consumer
  • Knowledge of dealing directly with factories
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Self-motivated and team oriented

What you’ll be doing

  • Working closely with design and buying upfront to develop the collection. Highlight any issues with design, buying and tech upfront to ensure range is developed on time and to the optimum specification
  • Assist in negotiations with suppliers to achieve the department margin without compromising the product
  • Supporting with supplier management to ensure product is placed with the right factory
  • Assisting in Critical Path management from concept into design sketch/ swatch and final buying sample
  • Assisting in seasonal supplier analysis/ SWOT and feedback to suppliers to ensure they are clear on our forward strategy
  • Ensure product is being sent to the right supplier and assist in the management on business levels across the supply base.
  • Maintaining the product trackers with manager. Ensure samples/swatches are received in good time for meetings, in the right yarns/fabrications and colours
