What’s the role about?

We are looking for an influential Global Health and Safety Manager to own and develop all Health and Safety practices and mitigate risk to our people and business.

This role will be responsible for Health and Safety across our Retail estate and Head Office locations, keeping abreast of legislation changes and driving continuous improvements for the safety and wellbeing of our colleagues and customers.

Who you are

  • Significant experience driving Health & Safety initiatives (retail industry experience is advantageous, but not essential).
  • An exceptional relationship-builder with strong communication skills to partner with stakeholders.
  • A strong ability to influence at all levels and act as the lead for Health and Safety, globally.
  • Project management and organisational skills to drive positive improvements across different jurisdictions.
  • Able to proactively identify and analyse problems and be solution orientated.
  • Capable of pivoting between defining and delivering our global Health and Safety strategy, with a hands-on, 'roll up your sleeves' approach to driving action.
  • Possess a growth-mindset, working with drive and ambition.
  • Curious, diligent and collaborative in your ways of working.
  • Inspirational in building and embedding a safety culture at Reiss.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading Health and Safety for Reiss as the subject matter expert, engaging our teams to nurture and develop a safety culture, globally.
  • Driving H&S performance and initiatives across the business, acting as the primary contact for all H&S matters, internally and externally.
  • Heading all H&S training, legal compliance, and regular updates for the business, including awareness and education programmes and all H&S-related policies.
  • Presenting data, trends and insight reports, and driving recommended actions.
  • Undertaking store and head office compliance audits, by regularly visiting all stores and ensuring all areas of compliance are exemplary. This would include life safety systems training and reviewing record keeping.
  • Devising and maintaining a Health and Safety management system internally to drive a culture of continuous improvement through our Leadership teams and stores.
  • Support and monitor annual general risk assessments for both Stores and Head Office. This includes taking action with any concerns raised and supporting with further training where necessary.
